Matt began his fish farming career in 1987 as an original YTS student based with a "table trout" production unit in the Lake District. From this successful introduction, Matt went on to complete a total of 8 years within freshwater salmon hatcheries before joining the team at Ae in 2003. During the last two decades, Matt has gained experience of all fish farm processes and was promoted to Farm Manager in July 2015.

Twenty years of working at an influential level within private, public and not-for-profit sectors to aid business & people development; including operating as an Investor in People UK Approved Adviser and latterly as a HR Director, Beverley joined Northern Trout as a result of relocating to the Yorkshire Dales following her marriage to the Managing Director; they celebrated their ten year wedding anniversary July 2020!
